Pricing is driven by four factors: data sensitivity (Real PHI vs. de-identified vs. synthetic), EHR integration scope (none / single / multi-EHR), deployment target (cloud / on-prem / hybrid), and timeline urgency. Real PHI requires a HIPAA-grade ingest pipeline, signed BAAs with every PHI handler in the chain (including AI providers), audit logging that meets §164.312(b), and either AWS / Azure / GCP HIPAA infrastructure or an on-prem deployment plan. The $15K covers the engineering hours required to build that compliance overhead correctly the first time.
